We are kicking off our 2017 Challenge series! However you view 2016, it is time to close the door on that chapter and get ready for a year of self-improvement! All of us, whether single or married, can work toward being better spouses starting today!
January is our Mind, Body & Soul month, so we’re going to focus on our physical, emotional, and spiritual health. We challenge you to pick a goal for the month and on January 31, post what you did and how you did! Here are some examples of challenges:
- Walk 10,000 steps each day
- Practice yoga three times a week
- Do one thing each day that makes you happy
- Eat clean five days a week
- Eat five servings of fruit and veggies each day
- Read a daily devotional
- Meditate for ten minutes each day
The only requirements for the challenge is that it has to be measurable and achievable. If you’re joining us later in the month, we also ask that you do it for at least two weeks. Then come back on January 31st and post what you did! Each person who posts a response will be entered in a raffle for a book!

Throughout this month, we’ll be posting stories about health, inspirational quotes, and questions to help you stay encouraged and engaged! At the end of the year, you’ll be able to look back on 2017 and not just think but KNOW that you are in a better place than ever before!
What am I choosing for my goal? A simple one: Drink 32 oz. of water every day.
I hate water (blech!) and am terrible about drinking it, so I’m not even going to shoot for the 64 oz. that is the traditional recommended amount. Nope, I’m picking a goal I can be successful with! I encourage you to do the same!
